  2. i have researched LEDC countries and noticed shanty towns are the worst the living conditions are cramped and unhygenic. They all live in a small house with over 4 people in it. They are not well educated as it costs and alot of them dont have jobs or can even read. The children look after there brothers or sister. The house are made from recources they can find which is usually timber or wood. The healthcare is poor and alot of them fall ill. This life is the complete opposit to ours.

  3. An LEDC area is a less ecnomically developed country also known as a shanty town. Living in a shanty town is not like living in Britian. They have tiny house that are made of metal and some of the time the shanty town doesn't have a sewage network so they go to the toilet in a ditch in the ground. The schools in shanty towns will onl have a few classrooms and not many resources. The classrooms will not be dcorated orhavepoper flooring as nobody can fund for it.

  4. Most people who live in LEDC countries dont have much money. Many people take out loans to buy houses and others build them with whatever materials they can find. Some children do not go to school because theyre parents cant afford it. Alot of parents cant read or write themselves. The children who do go to school are cramped in tiny classrooms with no desks. Also in LEDC countries there is poor healthcare, therefore alot of people can get ill or catch diseases easily.

  6. To live in an LEDC is very hard. Most of the people who live in an LEDC live in places called shanty towns. These places have no electricity, runing water or sewage. The sewage from peoples homes goes strait on the street. This leads to desease and even death. The people that live in an shanty town dont have alot of money. There houses are very small and are made out of what ever people can find. In a LEDC country it is hard to get a job and there is not a very good helth care or eduction set up.

  7. An LEDC also known as a Shanty town is a less ecnomically developed country. Not many people live in these towns as they are very run down and very low food rate. These towns have no clean running, sewage, draining system or electricity. These promblems lead to deseases and cause death to young and old, they have no medical help to help the the suffering. These people live in small houses what are built up from scraps what people can find. The town is very run down and dirty, and with no running water people have to go long distances to fetch clean water from a pump. The people carn't read or write because there is no education in the towns and lack of money. In these towns it must be very hard and painfull to live in these conditions and very hard.

  8. An LEDC area is an less economically developed contry, also known as a shanty town.An LEDC is very hard to live in as it is very unhygenic and very cramped.House in an LEDC are extremely small, which are made out of metal or wood. The house often have a family of 4 or more.People in the contry are very poor as there are no jobs for the people who live there. Also the people who live there can not get a job anyway as there are no schools to educate them. These Towns have no clean running water, the sewage is above the ground or electricity and because of all this people are very easly to catch all types of diseases. This also can cause deaths of the elderly and younger people as there are no hostpitals, docters or nurses or anything to help these poor people. If i was to live in this type of contry i think is would be hard.

  9. in a less economically developed country (ledc) life is very hard. these places are also known as shanty towns. in a shanty town large families live together in a small wooden or metal house. not many of the adults are educated so some pay for there children to be educated. the schools are very small and each classroom is seperated by only 1 wall. at school the children learn in english but everyone around them speak in a different langauge. it is very hard living in these conditions as a result as this many children die because of poor living conditions or just have no food to live on. there is also no doctors to stop these deaths. in a shanty town life is very difficult and if i went to one now at this age having lived in england i dont think i would be able to survive

  10. a ledc is a less economical country which is struggling. the ledc country will be run down and dirty. the towns people will live in little shacks that contain there whole family. the town will be poullouted and there will not be any electricity, or clean water to drink. people there become very ill because of the diseases the town carry's. they cannot be cured because the town doesn't have a nurse or doctor. if the parents wanted there child to be educated they would have to pay for them to go to school. most of the parents or children cannot read or write. if i had to live in a country like that i would find it very difficult because of there living conditions and what i am used to now.

A ledc is a poor place where people find it very hard to live. They have to grow their own food and drink any water they can find. The schools are as big as a classroom at cttc. All of the classrooms are together only a small wall sperates them. If i had to live in a ledc i would not survive as i have most things done for me and im used to living how i live now.

  12. Although the conditions in ledc are appauling and unfit for human living conditions, the people that live there are oblivious to the western worlds quality of life. I guess we have a lot to be thankful for!

  13. An LEDC is a less economiccally devolped country, it is very hard to survive in, you have to work as hard as you can to keep yourself alive. Many people die here because there is no nurses or doctors and it is hard to stay healthy

  14. life in a shanty town is very tiering. All the adults trying to get a job and fighting for survival. Each family will have a house but what it is made of is another matter. Some houses are only made from metal and wood, but some are more fortunate and have a brick house. To get rupies they may have a better paid job or have taken a loan. Many adults try to educate there children. The schools are very small and hard to learn in because the classes are cramped.

  15. LEDC stand for less ecanomicaly developed contery. Some conterys such as India are LEDC contery. This is because they do not have that much money . Due to this many poeple die from dieses such as rabies or drinking contaminated water. But if these conterys had a little more money these people would not have died. In these conterys people do not live in towns like you and I but in shantity towns. These are realy small towns and the houses are close togeter and also made of mud. The schools are very small and are about the size of a normal classroom and have five small classrooms in there . It is very hard to consentrate because there are no walls seperating them . They also have no chairs so people site on the floor.

  16. An LEDC town is a less economically developed country like Shanty Town. It would probably be hard to live somewhere like that as there wouldn't be much food and much water. They mostly live in small wooden houses. The water they have is probably from sewages, which would be dirty and would lead to illness's and diseases. Education in Shanty Town would be hard, as you would not be easy as the room are cramped and small. Also it would be hard to listen to the teacher as you can't hear because theother rooms are so close together. If the parents send there children to school each child has to write on slate instead of paper or in books. They do not have desks but they do have a benc to sit on.

  17. When i went to an LEDC country, the homes that the people live in are at the lowest standard of living. They have no electricty, clean water, or food. To build a house there you must steal/scavenge for it. The schooling is bad and the class rooms are really small, and they learn in english instead of learing in there own language, this is so they can get a good job because the talk of buisness is usually spoked in the english language. The health of the people is poor is there is no doctors there or medication, to get medical help you need to pay lots of money and travel long distances.

  19. In LEDC cities there is a problem with the poor and the rich being seperated greatly because of power. I nthe poorer places there are problems with living conditions, disease, water supplies and sanitation. These problems threaten the poorer peoples lives each and every day. The richer people however live in comfort and use the people who are desperate for money to do their jobs for them which they don't want to do themselves. This benefits the poorer people by providing them with a stop start wage but it again widens the social gap between the poor and rich.

  20. In an ledc country the towns are dirty, poor and dusty. In a shanty town large families live together houses made out of anything they could find so the house could crumble or collapse. The few schools are very small. It is difficut living in a lidc country because not much medical support is available. Because of this many people die. in a shanty town life is very diffrent as they have no electricity or comunication with anybody else.

  21. Josh Rees said... In a LEDC country there are Shanty towns are small towns in the outskirts of many cities – especially in third world countries. Often of low cost, with houses badly built with plywood, corrugated metal, sheets of plastic, cardboard or any available material. Often irregular structures good enough to keep the rain away or to protect from the summer sun. Pets and animals are often left to roam for food and water.

Lack of clean water, sanitation and toilets often make people, especially children, more exposed to illnesses such as hepatitis and cholera.

Many are built on land without a permit and often have no roads, numbered street, electricity or telephone lines. Some homes in shanty towns have some services but they are unkept and pose health and fire hazards. Sometimes shanty towns can take up whole parts of a city and may include millions of dwellers – such as in the cities of Brazil.

Many shanty town settlements are built on the banks of rivers and as a result the residents suffer the effect of floods or from industrial toxins in the water. Some are built close to rubbish dumps.

Residents of shanty town often have poor health, lack education, high crime, suicides and shorter life expectancy.

A lede is a less economicaly developed country. This is basicly a country that has no money or little and cant make that money they need. This effects all people meaning they are forced to create a sahnty town. Thease are towns made out of rusty sheets of meatal with houses so close to each other. They are forced to go to the toilete in the same place as everyone else. And the chance of children living after birth is very low. It is disgusting and is not right for any one to live there. It is full of Disease and is not sutible.

  25. in an ledc country there are schools that are small and have up to 4 rooms next to each other with no corridor and low walls seperating them. This means that the children cannot learn properly as they maybe distracted by the noise from other classroom and may not even hear their own teacher teaching them.

Also in a shanty tewn there is usually a pit where people go to the toilet regardless of privacy. these pits also help spread diseases such as cholera. Many people die from diseases in a shanty tewn and diseases are spread quickly from house to house as they are very close together.

People also die from starvation as they often have little or no food and little or no money to buy food. recently efforts have been made to improve conditions in ledc countries from medc countries. In a shanty town all the houses are made from whatever the families that live their can scavenge such as scrap metal, cardboard and pieces of fabric. a whole family of ten to twenty could live in a space perhaps 8ft square.

the apperance of the town would be dirty unkempt and muddled up in an ledc country.
